Can I grow a spider plant or a jade plant in the water of my indoor fountain?

You should be able to with the spider plant but I am not so sure about the jade plant – even though it is a succulant it does not like to be wet all the time.
You would only need to add a little bit of liquid fertilizer to your water for the health of your plant. Be careful what you use cause it may cause issues with your fountain pump/filter.
YOU SHOULD USE AIR PLANTS. THEY DONT NEED SOIL ONLY A MISTING. IM NOT SURE IF A SPIDER PLANT OR JADE PLANT CAN SIT IN WATER. BAMBOO IS NICE TOO.
Spiders and jade resent wet feet. Try some lucky bamboo, a perfect match. RScott
You can for sure do the spider plant, because I have used spider plants (the baby’s that you can break off from them) in a fountain that I use to have and they did just fine. As for the jade, I figure it might be a little bit too much water for it. You may also consider using Potho plants or even pieces from a wandering jew plant. Most plants that vine can handle more water then others. Bamboo would also work if you are wanting something to grow up instead of out and down.
