How do I make my jade bracelet fit?

I bought a jade bracelet when I was in middle school and now it’s 6/7 years later and I want to wear it again, but it doesn’t fit over my knuckles. Any suggestions to how it would be easier for me to put it on? I tried soap but it only hurt my knuckles and it didn’t work.
