The only thing I’m really gathering from this was…
They were trying to fulfill the final score by assassinating Peony. If you remember, when Ion read the score part of it went something like this-
“…and the blood of the last Emperor shall stain the throne. Malkuth will fall…”
and then something about a deadly disease or something.
I think that’s what’s going on. Could be wrong, often am.
