    i love jade plants.

But the only ones i have seen bloom were HUGE plants, at least 3.5 foot high, outside, in California, that got full sun.

I was impressed – their owner said she didn’t do anything special. Plants just grow like that in CA.

They bloom eventually and sporadically. And only under the most favorable conditions. As long as they get enough sunlight, just the right amount of water, occasionally fertilizer, and are mature enough (often several years old) they will bloom eventually.

Jade usually blooms in the winter, around Christmas. This is because of the natural shortening of daylight hours. If you keep it in a room with artificial lights, make sure you are that you a giving the plant natural cycles of light. You can also move the plant to an area with natural light, if not all year, at least from early October to late winter/early spring. The other option is to move them outside for the summer and bring them back indoors in early October. Don’t immediately put it in full sun outside, taking the time to transition it while prevent the leaves from burning.

Keep the soil dryer in the winter and don’t feed it from November to March. Good Luck!
